Maestro Xio-Lu Li Visit

It was a very special day when Maestro Xiao-Lu Li, Conductor and Artisitc Director of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, came to the Conners Emerson. BSO's Executive Director brought Xiao-Lu along with sponsors and Surya Mitchell and the Instrument Petting Zoo.

Maestro Li conducted and rehearsed both the 3-4 and 5-8 orchestras. He performed Massenet's Meditation for the second grade students and spoke with them about playing an instrument. Grade 1 came participated in the Instrument Petting Zoo, which allowed them to actually try various orchestral and band instruments. It was a special day for our students and staff!

Maestro Li is a sensitive musician and person and inspires all who listen. He is unselfishly willing to share his talents expertise. His visit is one that we will never forget. We presented Maestro Li with a violin-top plaque as a momento to remember our young musicians at the Conners Emerson School.
